Last updated: 1 September 2026 · Applies to honeychat.run and the HoneyChat chat service.

This policy explains, in plain language, what HoneyChat collects when you use the service, why we keep it, how long it stays, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it again in more detail.

Policy sections

  1. 1. Who we areHoneyChat operates the website honeychat.run and the companion chat service available through it. Where data protection law requires a controller, HoneyChat is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
  2. 2. Age requirementHoneyChat is strictly for adults aged 18 or over, or the higher age of majority where you live. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and any account we believe belongs to a minor is closed and its data deleted.
  3. 3. Account dataWhen you register we collect an email address or a sign-in identifier from the provider you choose, plus a display name if you set one. This is the minimum needed to let you back into your own chats.
  4. 4. Chat contentMessages you send and receive inside HoneyChat are stored so that your companion can keep continuity and so you can read your own history later. We do not sell chat content or use it for advertising.
  5. 5. Preference dataThe companion you pick, her mood settings, language, scene choices and similar options are saved to your account so the experience remains the same on your next visit.
  6. 6. Payment dataCard and billing details are handled by our payment providers. HoneyChat receives a transaction reference, the plan purchased, the amount, the currency and the result. We never store full card numbers.
  7. 7. Technical dataOur servers log IP address, browser and device type, referring page, approximate region derived from IP, and timestamps. These logs protect the service from abuse and help us fix faults.
  8. 8. Cookies and local storageWe use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and session security, preference cookies to remember your settings, and limited analytics identifiers to count visits. You can clear them in your browser at any time.
  9. 9. AnalyticsWe measure aggregate usage such as page views, session length and feature use. Reports are read at group level; we do not attempt to identify individuals from analytics data.
  10. 10. Marketing messagesIf you opt in, we may email you product news or membership offers. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your access to the service.
  11. 11. Why we process dataWe rely on contract performance to run your account and chats, legitimate interests to keep the platform secure and improve it, consent for marketing and non-essential cookies, and legal obligation for tax and compliance records.
  12. 12. Automated content generationCompanion replies are produced automatically from your conversation and settings. No automated decision with legal or similarly significant effect on you is made about you by HoneyChat.
  13. 13. Service providersWe share data only with providers who help us operate: hosting and storage, payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring and customer support tooling. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
  14. 14. No sale of personal dataHoneyChat does not sell personal data and does not share it with data brokers. We do not disclose your chat history to advertisers under any arrangement.
  15. 15. International transfersData may be processed in countries other than your own. Where that happens we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or transfers to jurisdictions with an adequacy decision.
  16. 16. Security measuresWe use encryption in transit, encrypted storage for account credentials, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, and monitoring for unusual activity. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password.
  17. 17. Retention of chatsChat history stays available while your account is open. When you delete a conversation it is removed from your account and purged from active systems within thirty days.
  18. 18. Retention of account recordsIf you close your account, account data is deleted within thirty days, except records we must keep for accounting, tax, fraud prevention or legal defence, which are kept for the period the relevant law requires.
  19. 19. Retention of logsTechnical and security logs are kept for a limited period, normally no longer than twelve months, and then deleted or aggregated so individuals can no longer be identified.
  20. 20. Your access rightsYou may request a copy of the personal data HoneyChat holds about you, including your stored preferences and account details, in a portable format.
  21. 21. Correction and deletionYou can correct inaccurate details from your account settings, and you can ask us to delete your data entirely. Deletion requests are honoured unless a legal duty requires us to retain a specific record.
  22. 22. Objection and restrictionWhere we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing or ask us to restrict it. You may withdraw consent for marketing or optional cookies at any moment.
  23. 23. ComplaintsIf you believe we have mishandled your data, contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence.
  24. 24. Regional rightsResidents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, California and other regions with similar statutes hold the rights their local law grants, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
  25. 25. Third-party linksPages on honeychat.run may link to partner sites. Once you follow such a link, the destination site's own privacy practices apply, and HoneyChat is not responsible for them.
  26. 26. Data breach handlingIf a breach is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the competent authority within the statutory deadline and inform affected members without undue delay, describing what happened and what to do next.
  27. 27. Do Not TrackBrowsers send Do Not Track signals inconsistently, so HoneyChat does not respond to them. Use the cookie and marketing controls described above instead.
  28. 28. Changes to this policyWe may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes are announced on the site before they take effect.
  29. 29. ContactPrivacy questions, access requests and deletion requests can be sent to privacy@honeychat.run. Please use the email address linked to your account so we can verify the request.
  30. 30. Language of this policyThis policy is published in English. Any translation is offered for convenience, and the English version prevails if the two differ.
